The United States Postal Inspection Service should arrest the secretary of the treasury and the postmaster general.
1787 is the year the Constitution was written. The Post Office is in the Constitution. This is 2020. Do the math. The Post Office is a 233-year-old public asset. The election is simply the distraction to accomplish their goal.
By removing and destroying sorting machines, Mnuchin, Trump, and DeJoy get to undermine the confidence of the American people in the Post Office, the late delivery, and claiming that the Post Office is inefficient. When of course, we have never experienced this in the history of the Post Office or an American election. In fact, they have destroyed sorting machines, removed mailboxes, and trucks from delivery, and limited the hours of postal employees. That sabotage.
FedEx, UPS, Amazon, and the privatization of delivery is their ultimate goal. Jeff Bezos is already the wealthiest human being in human history, imagine if in addition to his private sector innovation he too is subsidized by taxpayer dollars forever.
They also seek to undermine confidence in the government. The idea of building a more perfect union amongst the states and each of us with our neighbors is an idea that they detest. From the outset, Trump said he wants to “remove and eliminate the administrative state.” That has been their goal since day one.
If they are successful, there will come a time when the government has to subsidize a private corporation to deliver our mail, medicine, groceries, and packages. That is great for Wallstreet but terrible for Main Street. Every morning during this pandemic the American people are waking up to the idea that the stock market is doing well even while they are at home sheltering in place and on quarantine. There is a disconnect between the massive wealth machine of this nation and the increasing misery Index of the American people.
By crippling the Post Office, the foundation of our global delivery system, they cripple our democracy and they get to reestablish a private delivery system and a private democracy, for the big brokerage houses on Wallstreet.
